The sports shows on TV and radio are awful this week, the endless interviews with current and former athletes, advertising shite that nobody cares about.

Play the damn game already.

Radio row week is awful, IMO.

Always the same interviews with Rice, Emmitt, and Montana, and whichever current players hawking some product.

Yeah it's like the hosts don't put much effort or creativity into the shows. They are just there to do lame interviews and party all week, rehashing a bunch of stuff that's been discussed a thousand times over.

Agreed. The build up is too much and very repetitive. I don't even care for the pregame show. Just give me the game.

Monday-Wednesday definitely sucks when the media is looking for a juicy story. Usually on Thursday or Friday, it'll start to turn towards the game itself and that's when it gets better.

Haven't watched a single bit of coverage this week.

Their comes a point where you cannot talk about one game any longer. We have reached that point. Nobody has a clue how this game is going to go which adds to the ridiculousness.

Yeah I try to listen to Russillo and Kanell daily because I love the banter between the two, but it's been saturated with generic interviews with athletes and tired Super Bowl talk with topics that have been regurgitated

I have never been a fan of two week prep for the Super Bowl. Start the SB at 2 pm Eastern . I don't need to see a 90 minute pregame show. I don't need see a 35 minute halftime production that overloads the stadium circuitry. Play the game normally and end the game no later than 5:30 pm Eastern.

For the life of me I don't understand who is interested in coach or player interviews. They're never interesting. I immediately turn the channel when an interview starts.

Well frick all y'all.

I love it.

On Sunday I plan on making jambalaya and king cake, drinking copious amounts of beer, and watching Terry Bradshaw act silly all day long.

Then I'm going to eat myself stupid while watching what's hopefully a great game and while discussing the quality of each commercial and while criticizing Lady Gaga's halftime performance.

It's the ultimate American holiday. I figured you MAGA folks would love it.

Sounds like all of you need to listen to Lebatard this week.

He's interviewed Kenny G every single day this week, and it's been fantastic and hilarious every time.

Will never ever happen because they play it in California sometimes. That'd be an 11am start.

ETA: 4:00 EST would be ideal. Can get a solid daydrinking session and still be a functional human being at work the next morning.

It's awful. Play the game one week after the conference championships like every other major sport does. Media circus is stupid.

Sports radio in ATL is pumping it up and saying the whole city is going Falcons crazy. However, I don't see it. I see more support for the Saints around NOLA during July than I currently see around Atlanta.
