Midfield logos are only sacrosanct if you're an insecure pussy. Man I can't wait to watch SC wax ucla. If not, I promise to play Black Ops II on X-Box live and record an epic meltdown.

You realize it's not USC's judgement as to how the HOME fans consider their logo?

you dont get to do your traditions on the field of an opponent (at least you should be able to). its not your house. anyone who thinks you should has a pretty inflated view of themselves/school.

i guess if you wanted to stab the grass on the sidelines with the rest of your players i would compromise on that. in the middle of the field before the game? gtfo. he has zero business being out in the middle of the field.

So when Florida State took some grass out of Tiger Stadium for Sod Cemetery was there a riot?

Dude, it's grass.

You want to be such a bad arse...shut-up and win the game.

I doubt the players of the home team could give a rats arse - they are out there hitting...they know it's about the game and not pregame bullshite.

This is just a few fans in the stands who are insecure and have tiny weenies.

its straight up disrepect. its not just grass but im not surprised you dont get it. to even think you deserve to do such a thing on an opponents field says a lot.

Louisville and Miami players damn near came to blows over Miami stomping on their logo a few years back. Louisville then went on to run them off the field by a few TDs.

ETA: Now you USC boys might not GAF because it's not your logo, but there are plenty of schools who are sensitive about that and consider it a sign of disrespect. If you don't think so you haven't been paying much attention to the rest of college football. There's been more then a few locker rooms I've been in as a trainer where you can't even walk on the logo in the locker room, much less let an opposing team do something like that on the field.

seems more like insecurity to me and considering that this is UCLA with the complaints, it makes sense.

they've been *little brother* to USC for over a decade now.

Notre Dame doesn't have a midfield logo so it's ok to do it there.

I hope Marqis Lee scores a TD and stabs the UCLA end zone with the football.

Unless you're Michigan State and toting a flag with a W under your belt.

Whoever authorized him to do that on an opponent's field needs to be kicked in the sack.

I don't think so. USC has been to Tiger Stadium only once. In1979, there was no logo at midfield, certainly not the Eye. And I don't think the USC band was at the game. And they certainly were not on the field pre-game.

I was at that game....not sure if USC even brought cheerleaders....I guarantee their band wasn't there....

If they tried to pull that crap in Tiger Stadium, ole tommy might not end up in Mike's habitat, but i could see him going gator hunting with troy landry....

I personally could care less. I understand Southern Cal started it back when we both played in the Coliseum and so it was the home field for both our teams so it made sense then.

At first when I saw Bruins Nation and BRO start the drive to get rid of it I thought it was silly, but now after seeing the Southern Cal Drum Major release a "statement" and hearing all the Southern Cal fans complain, I like it. Anything to piss those guys off.

oh and here is the drum majors "statement" lol drum major releasing a statement, goodness.

Few more beautiful scenes in CFB than SC/UCLA in the Rose Bowl, with the early afternoon shade of green on the field.

I agree except for two instances:

1. LSU white vs. Ole Miss red
2. Michigan white vs. Ohio State red

Funny article

quote:

What are the Bruins going to do next? Ask Oregon’s mascot Puddles to put on pants? Ask Colorado not to let Ralphie run across the field? Ask Traveler to wear a diaper? Forbid opposing football players from wearing cleats?

Also a great video in the article.

wait ralphie runs out during road games?

In fact not one of those comparisons even make sense or are relative to the topic.

eta: sorry just not realizing it was a bleacher report article, written by a woman, who went to usc. i should not have even bothered to comment.
