How the Eagles should have traded McCoy

Instead of trading LeSean McCoy for an injury-plagued Kiko Alonso, why didn't the Eagles just trade McCoy to the Titans straight up for their 2nd overall pick in the draft? It was no secret that the Eagles desperately wanted Mariota, and having a Top 5 back in McCoy would have been very tempting for the Titans. That would have made more sense than trading McCoy for Alonso, who is talented, but can't stay healthy.
Who knows, maybe Chip Kelly did try to swing a McCoy for 2nd pick trade, but obviously the Titans were dead-set on keeping that pick

McCoy is not and was not worth the #2 pick. I'll start with that.

McCoy wouldn't have even come close to landing the second pick.

they would have had to package their 1st round pick as well.
and maybe even a few others to land the #2 pick in the draft

You can't deny he's one of the best backs in the league, and all the Titans have is an unproven player in Bishop Sankey as their starter. Maybe McCoy with their first rounder with a later pick thrown in might have done it.
