How obvious is it that the NBA is a vastly superior product to the NFL?

It's not. You're having a knee jerk reaction. This past Super Bowl was one of the greatest sporting events I have ever seen.

Very obvious. I used to rank NFL over NBA, but I had to change my mind. The NBA is the best American sports league, and it isn't close.

Until the NFL can control the penalties on the secondary, eff em. Last years 1st round playoff was the best sports theater in some time in my book.

I'm really not though. Today just sparked the thread. This season in the NBA has been amazing.

The Super Bowl was awesome, yes, but night in night out the NBA is miles ahead.

I enjoy watching regular season NBA more than the NFL playoffs this year. It's never been like that before.

The NBAs problem has typically been that the regular season has largely been meaningless or uneventful. The playoffs have always been incredible, although they do last forever.

This years regular season has been much, much better.

the super bowl wasn't really awesome

it had a late-ish comeback and insanity at the very end

the first half of that game was pure shite. boring, as well

We're all entitled to our own opinions. My personal opinion is there isn't a better day on the professional sports calender than NFL conference championship Sunday.

The 8 seed race in the West is outstanding. The Hawks are wtfpwning everyone except the big dick Pelicans. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson - are you kidding bro? James Harden is outstanding. LeBron is starting to ball out of control as well.

The NBA is our new king.

Absolutely this.

One NBA game is more exciting to me than one NFL game. And there are WAY more NBA games. I've had way more fun watching 16 random games between random teams than I did watching my Texans this year.

If NBA games were played once a week, it would be way more popular.

I'm starting to become an NBA junkie. This season has been amazing. I tune in to every single game with playoff implications that I can.

RTR, SwaggerCopter, Spur, and a few others here have passed their basketball fever on to me

I think you could shorten the NBA season to 65 games and it would make the product even better.

Even still, that's one weekend. The NBA brings it so much harder on a random Thursday than the NFL did on Sundays.

If the NBA can keep up this intense regular season, people are going to take notice.

I think this is one thing I love about the NBA though. It's a lot less fluky. In the NFL, a few plays and unlucky bounces can be the difference between 9-7 and 11-5. The NBA regular season and playoffs keeps fluky teams from winning it all.
