I have gotten a lot better over the years (generally because I became numb to all the shitty play), but there was once a point when I could not eat during games because I was so nervous. I also once had a phase where I refused to watch my team kick the ball off because I was scared the other team was going to return it. My father used to change the channel during key third down plays when we were on defense.

I pace the floor uncontrollably, and the only time I sit down is during commercial breaks or halftime.

Also, another bad/stupid habit I have is to say "this is a CRUCIAL third down" on every fricking 3rd down.

I'm crazy superstitious.

I'm constantly knocking on wood based on what announcers or stats show. It's also gotten bad to where I do it for what anyone in the room says. Then I started doing it for any thoughts that pop into my head...

Yea it's gotten bad.

I've had to Moneyball it and get on the treadmill to follow some games.

LSU games still make the blood pump a little faster but i've learned to just sit back and watch saints and pro games from an analytical standpoint

I tend not to sit during LSU games. It makes me uncomfortable, I need the freedom.

Outside of that I'm ok. Cowboys games, unless it's a huge game, I can chill and watch. I still jump up on big plays, and throw up tge X

haha, I'm the same way. Literally every third down I'm like this is for the game and more importantly our season.

I don't like being around people during games. They judge how worked up I get sometimes

Alcohol helps

I'm dating a new girl right now and I told her we have to watch fever pitch before the season starts so she'll somewhat understand. She says if football is what gets me the most worked up she's fine with it but I don't think she fully understands

College football, not that nervous. But I do stand up regardless of where I am or who is playing during a close game.

The saints however, are a different story. I used to watch them with friends but I couldn't stand all the talking during games so now I watch alone and I like it better. Gives me time and space to pace all over the house, rage and be a nervous wreck.

I used to be bad. Now that I'm older and have found pot, much better. Like when we went down 21-6 to Bama. A little smoke and all was right in the world again

Depends on the game.

Being down 21-6 to Alabama made me extremely nervous. Especially considering our SEC history.

The more nervous I get the faster I drink, so by the end of that night I got pretty shite faced. Same with the MSU game.....I couldnt remember how I got home.

I'm the same way. If I'm not at the game surrounded by other screaming fans, I'd rather watch alone with a bottle of bourbon.

I am a wreck when my sons play. I just want them to not get hurt and work hard. When I am at work I try to get updates from my wife, she doesn't have a clue and it drives me crazy!

College and NFL don't really bother me. I wouldn't call it nervous but I am excited for game day. I can't stand to watch with negative people. I would rather watch alone or with my sons.

I'm worried for big games and pace in front of my tv

Sit on same part of couch....but nothing too terrible. Get anxious when game is on line.

Now I just ensure I have a good stock of beer

I am always nervous before every game. Usually though after the first couple of series I am calm.

Depends on the game. I only really get a rush of nerves for the big games, but the alcohol usually erases those.

I've found myself getting more and more negative/critical over the past few seasons. Really have no idea why. I'm planning to work on it this season.

I just drink a lot before and during. If I can't do that then I pretty much have to watch alone
