I think at one time the Trailblazers had all of these guys on their roster (probably forgetting a few people)

Greg Oden
Lamarcus Aldridge
Nicolas Batum
Gerald Wallace
Jerryd Bayless
Andre Miller
Rudy Fernandez
Marcus Camby
Brandon Roy

Not to mention these guys as well the last couple years

Jamal Crawford
Raymond Felton
Wesley Matthews
JJ Hickson
Patty Patty Mills Y'all

Paul Allen, wealthiest owner in the L (at least he was the last time I looked)

I remember I started a thread a few years ago asking whether or not their bench rotation could've made the playoffs.

They were almost never fully healthy though

theyve been the most injury prone team in recent history. brandon roy, oden, and aldridge has had his problems. they could just never have any sustained play where everyone was healthy

Man, the Blazers would be something to see had they drafted Durant 1st overall.

O ok. He was one of the "lockout villains" during the lockout. I think he was the one pushing for the 50/50 revenue split. IIRC

The Jailblazers couldve been a special group if they had just focused on the court

Zach Randolph
Bonzi Wells
Damon Stoudamire
Rasheed Wallace
Arvydas Sabonis

Portland has an impressive looking starting five on paper with Aldridge, Hickson, Batum, Lillard, and Matthews, but they all shoot somewhat low FG%

Lillard and Matthews are both bottom 10 at their position in PER fwiw

There is absolutely nothing impressive about that starting 5. They are not even a top 12 team in the NBA.

The Blazers disappointment is enormous. Keep in mind many people were declaring this team a contender for lonng time.

It's a top 12 starting 5. Hickson is the worst of the group and he is averaging a double double.

It is the worst bench though by points per game the NBA has seen in 23 years.

Will Barton is starting to come on as a scorer and Leonard could become useful in time. Price is a below average backup PG and the rest of the bench should not even be in the league.

I think Portland will trade Hickson soon though and make sure they get a pick this year (top 12 protected).

About two years away from a team capable of winning a playoff series.

I like their starting five too. They're small upfront though. Like someone else said, their bench is the problem.

ALdridge is a top 5 PF, but outside of that, none of those guys are top 5 at their position, hhell Batum might be the only one top 10.

It's a decent starting 5.. that's about it.

Blazers PPG and rank by position:

PG - Lillard 18.3 (8th)
SG - Matthews 15.1 (12th)
SF - Batum 16.4 (10th)
PF - Aldridge 20.5 (1st)
C - Hickson 12.6 (9th)

Balanced and talented starting five. Just checked, Portland's bench is dead last at 16ppg (second worst is Indiana with 26ppg)

As I said, worst bench in the NBA in 23 years PPG wise.

It is an atrocious group of players.
