How good would cam newton be if he was a DE/olb?

In terms of pure size and athleticism sure... but obviously it takes a lot more than that.

I always felt similarly about Brandon Jacobs playing that position. Not GOAT like you're suggesting, but had he been a DE/OLB in college he could have made it to the league and possibly had a longer career.

He has the size and speed, but don't think he has the killer instinct that a DE/OLB needs to be elite. He has too much of a QB mentality.

I think he could have been, had he been moved there early in his career.

He had the athletic ability. If he worked for it as hard as he did the qb position then its posdible he would have been drafted

Fun fact, my coach in high school was the D coordinator for cam in high school. He tried mighty hard to get cam at DE
But cam sinply refused everytime
