Just looked on the MLB.com site for national broadcasts. Do the teams that they choose for national broadcasts change over time or is it completely set right right now and if the Yankees suck they will still have them on 28 times regardless?

Seems like the Mets and Astros are the biggest losers right now with 2 and 3 nationally broadcasted games all season, respectively but wanted to know if they actually change it. TIA.

They set them in advance and they don't care. It's a ratings grab.

Look at the NBA. All the time they spend giving us the Knicks and the Lakers and at least one and maybe both of them are missing the playoffs.

So it's basically not going to change from the opening day lineup?

Only reason why I ask is in other sports like college football, the major network like CBS has the option I think 3 weeks in advance to pick up any SEC game they want, then ESPN gets 2nd pick etc.;

Think the Fox schedule is set, but the last 2-3 weeks are tba. ESPN usually has flex scheduling once June or July hit
