Win over ASU looking good again. Plus MSU.

It's two teams with another lose on them this early. MSU's only thing win worth a damn is scraping past awful Auburn.

As for OSU, NIU and Indiana are actually solid teams plus Va Tech although I haven't followed them since that game.

Va Tech has a losing record and stopped being a quality win 5-6 years ago. NIU also has a losing record. Indiana is probably good for Indiana, which means a 6 win team maybe.

The #1 spot should be vacant as no team has played like a true #1 team this year.

2. Clemson
3. Utah
4. TCU
5. Ohio State
6. Michigan State
7. LSU
8. TAMU
9. Florida State
10. Florida

12. Bama
13. Northwestern
14. Ole Miss
15. UCLA
16. Stanford
17. USC
18. Notre Dame

Ohio State and Michigan State need to drop. I understand that the gap between the best teams and the mid-level teams isn't nearly as big as it used to be, but it's too many weeks in a row now that these two teams are struggling.

Alabama looked great, but they also looked terrible just two weeks before. Baylor and TCU could be 1-2, but I don't really think either of them are that great either. It's just a weird year. No great teams.

Florida should be top 10, even though they could easily have two losses. LSU offense looks weak. Clemson should jump up, but at the same time, I don't think Notre Dame should be penalized too much for a close loss on the road. I'd rank it like this...

1) Baylor
2) Utah
3) TCU
4) Ohio State
5) Clemson
6) Florida
7) LSU
8) Texas A&M
9) Alabama
10) Notre Dame
11) Oklahoma
12) Michigan
13) Michigan State
14) Northwestern
15) Florida State

So TCU wins off a tip pass against a mediocre Texas Texh and struggles against a team Northwestern shuts out but they should leap frog Ohio state. Cool.

No one is necessarily "jumping" anyone. Maybe I had TCU over Ohio State last week.

Ohio State hasn't looked great in 4 weeks.

Northwestern looks legit. Their defense is nasty.

And their schedule is sooooo easy. Don't play Ohio State or Michigan State. Their game against Michigan will be a slugfest. Looks like Northwestern really might be the best team in the B1G West. Them or Iowa. They get Iowa at home though.

Gosh thats a lot of Florida love. They got so lucky to beat ECU and UT. Today's win was pretty great though, so maybe theyve found their QB.

Ole Miss was def overrated though. I mean, they had every bounce go their way and still almost blew it against Bama. Sigh, I dont really wanna critique anyone's rankings too much though, because this is actually really hard to do.

We need more weeks. After week 7 is def the best first week to do rankings imo fwiw. The data sucks too much right now.

Data does suck right now, agreed.

East Carolina isn't bad or anything, though. I think Florida having a freshman QB gives them a little bit of an excuse for those games, because he's obviously improving a lot.

And LSU really hasn't done anything, which is why I put Florida over them. Honestly, I thought about putting Alabama at 6, but I didn't because you can't just forget about how they looked against an Ole Miss team who isn't anything spectacular.

aTm could be over LSU, too. Both of their best wins are against Mississippi State, so we'll see how good they both really are in two weeks when aTm plays Alabama and LSU plays Florida.

aTm's win over ASU actually might be their best win now with ASU winning tonight @ UCLA. They are 3-2 with a win @ UCLA, and losses vs USC (quality opponent) and aTm.

The pac 12 man, the pac 12 is crazy.

UCLA
USC
Stanford
ASU
Utah
Cal

Idk what to do with most of these teams except put Utah up near the top. But then after that its becoming a mess. Based off the results so far it would technically be Stanford > USC > ASU > UCLA . I dont think its become cyclical as frick yet. But it is going to REALLY soon. Northwestern beating Stanford and aTm beating ASU are two games that just confuse things more since those teams are undefeated. So are those two undefeated teams awesome? Or pac 12 sucky?

Cal hasnt played anyone yet but is undefeated. And do I throw Oregon a bone and mention them? Sure they are out of national title contention but they still can turn things around.

FSU in the top 10(idk where else to put them though) is a damn joke. They are so blah.

They're 4-0. Their 4 opponents have a combined 2 wins over FBS schools.

This is not how I expect it to be ranked, but this how I believe it should be reflected if not have Ohio State and Michigan State further down. If Florida and LSU remain undefeated, I think the winner of that game should be unquestioned top 5. A&M is about to run through there toughest part of the schedule. TCU, Baylor, Ohio State, and Michigan State are really not deserving, but they won't lose much so they'll be around all year. Clemson looked bad, but they have had some quality wins.

I'll also add that I think Alabama could very well beat any of these teams head to head right now and I expect them to be top 5 soon enough.
