The Astros did well last year. This year, they are back to 2012 level bad.
I don't get it either. It looked like the organization was building the club the right way with a more stocked farm system and promising young players. The Chicago Cubs and Astros were bad together. Now, look at the Cubs...kicking arse and taking names. Meanwhile, the Astros are regressing.

Because they won't spend money to compete. Yankees, cardinals, Red Sox, etc would have spent ten of millions last year with their start to go far in the post season. Jeff was counting his chickens before they hatched. Pathetic Astros.

its not totally uncommon in a situation like this where a team has a huge win spike in back to back years going from bad to really good, and in year 3 revert to who they actually were.
if you look at the AStros last year, after they went on that long win streak in april, they have been way below .500 since then.
what will likely happen is they'll rebound somewhat this year at some point, but next year will be the year they make a move.

Always going to find ole Lester in an Astros bashing thread. Never change man! But don't act like the Astros were way below .500 after April of last year. They were at .500 or even a bit above.

Batters 5-9 are terrible. We're basically the same as the rockets, a couple great players and a bunch of scrubs.

You always give arbitrary statements that aren't true, every single time. Sure the team is struggling right now, but don't act like last year was some kinda of fluke that should never have happened. This is a talented team that, at the moment, is under performing. But hey, this is baseball your not going to set the world on fire every game. The sky isn't falling, as much as you want it to be
