I'm not sure of any baseball player that had a peak run like Pujols. From 2003-2010 .334 BA 42 HR 121 RBI

In 10 of his first 11 seasons, he finished top 5 in MVP voting winning the award 3 times. Throw in a few Gold Gloves in there as well.

His decline has been pretty significant since 30, not hitting above 300 since 2010. Will probably end up with 700 career homeruns and 2000 RBIs.

Dude has been very serviceable as he has aged. He is not at his peak but he has still been very productive

Ralph Kiner had a hell of peak, lead the league in HRs 7 straight seasons.

He was great, but a ways from catching Bonds/Ruth/Williams. Maybe Mike Trout will have a chance to catch those guys.

What makes his decline seem worse is that he just played at such a high level. 275/27/100 season just looks bad for Pujols.

I felt like he was anointed as the best ever circa 2009 and then when he got traded out west I rarely heard of him.

The guy played with a bad elbow, plantar fasciitis, and runs like his feet have 50lbs of concrete on them.

And then you age, with those nagging injuries and it just doesn't bode well.

Thank god for the Angels, Cards would still be paying him in the 25mil range for a few more years with the deal they offered him.

Knew a cards fan would be in soon to bash the guy.

I loved his time here, got 2 WS titles, but it was obvious his career was starting to slant downwards, and I was happy St. Louis didn't break the bank to pay him for what he did in the past.

I just sat and stared at that for a couple of minutes. Thanks for getting the juices flowing this good day.

Purest definition of a moonshot if I've ever seen one.

Hey dickjaw, where did some one bash him? Facts are, his body is falling apart, and if the Angles hadn't paid him that asinine deal, Cards would be handcuffed with him.

Could you be any bigger of a tard?

Could make the case for top 10-15 I think. Barry Bonds and Babe Ruth are the only ones to dominate like him.
