How can anyone as a neutral fan be rooting against Manning?

In a league full of Shermans, Newtons, Kaepernicks and Crabtrees, I don't see how people can actually be rooting against Peyton in the Super Bowl unless it's because:
1) You're a Seahawks fan
2) Your team is rivals with the Broncos
3) You're one of those stupid Brady blowhards who knows it will be universally accepted that Manning>>Brady if he wins this game.
Peyton is the prime example of how an athlete should carry himself on and off the field. He's the epitome of class in the NFL. He's a role model and just an all around great guy. I have always wished him the best unless he's playing against the Saints obviously.
So, I ask again, if you don't fall into one of the three above categories, how can you NOT want Peyton Manning to win this game?
1) You're a Seahawks fan

I could care less about manning. I'm rooting for the broncos because the Seahawks knocked out the saints.

Not rooting against Manning, but kind of pulling for the Seahawks because they have more Aggies on their roster than Denver.

4) You're an irrational LSU fan that despises the Mannings because they all disrespected LSU and therefore you actively root against them.
FWIW, I like PM and am rooting for the Broncos.

Don't really care who wins. Just want a good game. But it is a very good reason. Screw Tennessee.

It's the opposite for me. I'm rooting for the Seahawks because they beat the Saints. Them losing would further devalue the Saints season. At least this way the Saints lost to the champs.
Also I'd like the see all of the "Sherman is a tPOS" flip their shite all over again.

I think deep down I'm cheering for him but my roommate loves him more than any player and I just like creating a controversy in the room to make it more fun and exciting to watch
