Are we looking at $150 million with $80 million guaranteed? That sounds ridiculous, but he is going to break every football salary record there is I think.

Here are some current comparisons:

Eventually all the QB's will prevent any team from paying top dollar to other players. A franchise QB is a necessity though in this day and age with the NFL rules making the passing game the feature of the league.

I think he takes a little less by choice, but it will still probably be the largest deal in NFL history

That's just WAY WAY too much money for ANY athlete....... But the owners are stupid enough to pay them......

I could see this as well. Very smart, humble kid and really seems to want to win more than anything.

Maybe he'll take some off the top to get a longer deal and more guaranteed. I could see that, so they could keep a good team around him.

The NFL has already started adjusting the salary cap preparing for these big contracts. It will even out eventually. My guess is six years 180 million.

His family has a lot of money, and unlike Wilson he had a top pick rookie deal and doesn't have a ring yet. Agree he will and should take some off the yearly salary and want more guaranteed.

While I agree its outrageous, the NFL is a business and a WILDLY successful one at that. If the league tanked the salaries would as well, but that isn't happening any time soon.

That is so much money it hurts to think about.

I know baseball has been up there forever, but to see this in football, compared to just 10-15 years ago, is insane.

First time I've seen the top contracts written out like this together. Good God those are awful. Only player that even somewhat deserves a top contract is Wilson because of 2 super bowl appearances, but even then it's debatable if he's worth that money.

Good QBs have teams by the nuts and they know it. Every team is so desperate for one that they will pay almost anything.

Let me guess, teachers and police officers deserve that money instead?

Could you imagine what an uncapped Rodgers would be worth?

Rodgers would have an Arod-esque 250 milly, but for only 6 years .

Damn he would get paid so effin much for the next 5-6 years of his prime. Almost unfathomable.

Doesn't Messi get over $50 million a year? It would be like that.
