Holy shite. That post was stolen directly from r/nba.

Also, they are terrible. No disagreement here.

Yeah, they are really really bad. The Pelicans fricking suck but at least Joel and Wesley are good.

But Boom posted a link yesterday claiming they were the best in the league.

I lol'd yesterday though when Bleacher Report posted a video on Instagram of Anthony Davis blocking Trevor Ariza from behind and all you hear in the background is the Rockets announcers yelling it should've been called a foul.

In the post on r/nba, the guy says he wrote it and that's his blog. Take it for what you will.

A significant amount of the in depth posts on Reddit are people who have their own blogs or sites and just want to widen their audience on there.

I watch these dudes all the time, they literally cry for a foul every single possession, it's actually a joy to watch up close. you'd think the refs were out to get the rockets.

easily the worst I've ever seen or heard.

Well that actually was a foul. He hit him with his body.

I just read the whole article... that was nothing but a Knicks fan who was looking to hate.

I am always baffled when fans of other teams complain that the local home team broadcasters are openly biased for their team. They act like they are supposed to be impartial like ESPN.

In case you weren't aware, local broadcasters are calling the game for the home team's fans, and it's perfectly acceptable to be biased. In this case, the Rockets announcers aren't paid by Root Sports Southwest. They are paid by the Houston Rockets.

So a Knicks fan complaining that the Rockets announcers are biased in favor of the Rockets is silly. Of course they are biased you big dumb idiot!

You guys should hear the UNLV radio guys calling a basketball game. John Sandler will not be out homered by anybody. I'm surprised he hasn't run out on the court and tackled a referee yet.

Yeah, I am, by no means, a Rockets fan, but that article seemed petty. Unless it was just one of those things you had to hear for yourself, most of it seemed fine. I would bet that if Zach Lowe hadn't made a comment about how poor they are, he wouldn't have even noticed.

I actually like when the Pelicans are on the road and I can listen to the opposing broadcasts on League Pass. It helps me learn about the other players.

The article was pretty spot on actually They are notorious homers, but this dude has apparently never heard the old dude from the Celtics.

I agree with that. The Rockets announcers tend to wear their emotions on their sleeves.

If they think it was a bad call, they will say they think it's a bad call. But I actually don't mind them because some announcers complain about calls with a twinge of disgust in their voice. Not the Rockets announcers. It's more of a light-hearted chuckle and they mention that it's not a foul.

If the Rockets are playing bad, they will straight up say they are playing bad. If a player on the other team is playing well, they will also give that player props for lighting up their team.

They are certainly biased in favor of their team, but it's not a bias where they talk crap about the other team like some announcers. That's why I don't mind them. Some announcers take cheap shots at opposing players, and I'm not a fan of that. But Bill Worrell and Matt Bullard don't do that.

Here's an example of them complaining about a call. Mostly they just laugh it off yet bring attention to the fact that they think they missed the call:

Thought this thread was going to be about James "People's MVP" Harden stating he isn't playing defense consistently because he is logging too many minutes.

He stated the obvious only a day or two after I posted about it here I got a chuckle out of that.
