Did the benches even clear? The comment for the video says:

Micah Gibbs did something similar to that one game that caused the benches to clear. Although what he did was much more badass and for a reason.

We are playing the A's low A affiliate and he'd been trucked by one of their guys.

The next game or maybe next series we had another play at the plate. Micah had the ball about the time their base runner hit 3rd Guy slows up almost to a walk...gets about 10 feet from home...and sprints at Gibbs and plows him. Guy was out...Gibbs gets up...takes 2 steps towards our dugout...and throws the ball over his shoulder hitting the base runner square in the chest.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Sounds like the base runner deserved what he got.

I guess the Cougars got the last laugh. 8 straight series wins over Tulane for UH.

Crazy, didn't realize that was the case. How many times in that span have they finished higher than tulane in the conference? Three?

2013 (presumably)
2011
2010
2009 (identical CUSA records but UH won tiebreaker)
2007
2006

So what's that 6 times in those 8 seasons (presuming that they finish ahead in 2013) and 4 of the last 5 seasons? Granted, UH isnt exactly a baseball powerhouse but this will be 5 straight seasons where Jones and co have missed a regional.

In 2008 UH finished one game behind Tulane in the loss column in the standings btw due to Tulane having a tie.

Yep. The question is, what do we to revive this diminishing baseball program that is pretty well funded?
