Does anyone have any experience with this item, using it with your kids to improve bat speed? Pros and cons, worth the price tag?

I like them! They are cool to use for like 5 minutes or so during each practice.

Will they improve bat speed with girls, ages 7-8, and are they worth using as they get older? I guess in a sense you can never have enough bat speed....thoughts?? And which ones do you use-all three or 1 of the ones in the set?

I just looked at a video because I coach a youth team and was interested in this idea.
Looks to me like it's basically a donut that you can actually hit with, but I don't see how it's any more effective than just making them swing a heavier bat.

IMO it looks like it will temporarily improve bat speed, but with little kids it will also give them the tendency to drop their hands and swing around their body to make up for the heaviness of it, which is a much larger problem for kids than bat speed.

My boys use the 9oz, 12oz, and 16oz. On the products website there is a recommended training workout. two days using all three and then three days using only one size to improve bat speed, power, strength etc. For my boys it seems to be working, plus they like using it. a few more hard hits than usual from them lol. no complaints about it so for.

I don't know if they will really make that much a difference long term but you feel like a STUD after taking them off so its worth it for the short term confidence alone. Kids those ages should just use the little one for hitting and the larger ones for warming up.
