Need some help guys---every year during the tournament, my wife's boss sends out a tournament bracket of a random topic to about 20 guys around their office and some others outside the office....this years bracket topic is Historical Sports Venues
Naturally, we started with 64 venues with the typical 4 regions and 1-16 seeding---voting was round by round based on: historical importance/memorable moments/unique features
The voting worked by a 1-10 scale of 10 being no question and 1 having to really think and research to determine a winner
We are in the 'final four' and the pairings are Yankee Stadium vs Augusta National on one side and Boston Gardens vs Madison Square Garden on the other
How would you guys vote on these?
ETA: Link to entire bracket
Sorry if format is crappy, i just put it together real quick---our whole bracket has been broken up by round

Yankee Stadium
More important sport historically
Team vs Individual
Identifiable franchise that is well known beyond our borders

MSG should win in a landslide.

Yankee & MSG, with Yankee winning the final. Got a link to the entire bracket?

Shouldn't it matter that the original Yankee Stadium and Boston Garden do not exist anymore?

Yankee Stadium. Home of one of the world's best known sports franchises. Also hosted football in the early NFL days.

Boston Gardens vs Madison Square Garden
MSG. Not only the home of the Knicks and Rangers, but long-time host of the NIT, Big East tournament, many historic boxing matches, and even one of the top dog shows (Westminster Kennel Club).
MSG in the finals due to the number of major events it has hosted.

No, since MSG is on its third or fourth version as well.

The venue in the final four is the Old Yankee Stadium. New Yankee Stadium lost out in the first round to Notre Dame Stadium.

A 10 seed? You are dumb.
One of the few designated a historical landmark...opened 1923 - only stadium in the world to have hosted the Olympic Games twice, in 1932 and 1984. It is also the only Olympic stadium to have also hosted Super Bowls and World Series. Home to a Top 5 Football program of all time.
Tenants
USC Trojans (NCAA) (1923–present)
UCLA Bruins (NCAA) (1928–1981)
Summer Olympics (1932, 1984)
Los Angeles Dons (AAFC) (1946–1949)
Los Angeles Rams (NFL) (1946–1979)
Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB) (1958–1961)
Los Angeles Chargers (AFL) (1960)
Los Angeles Raiders (NFL) (1982–1994)
Pro Bowl (NFL) (1951–1972, 1979)
And you have the freakin' Superdome beating it? How many global sports events has the Superdome held? How old is the Superdome? How many World Series, Super Bowls, Pro Bowls...

Old Tiger stadium should have defeated Soldier Field in Chicago. In addition to World Series games, All-Star games and Ty Cobb, Hank Greenberg, it hosted the Lions until 1975 which mean NFL title games and it also hosted fights involving Sugar Ray Robinson and Jake LaMotta.

I hate the Yankees, but Yankee Stadium wins by a mile. Its resume simply cannot be matched:
16 World Series titles were clinched there.
30 title bouts were fought there.
4 NFL Championship Games were played there.
3 Papal masses were held there.
That alone does it. Add to it Lou Gehrig Day, the greatest NFL game ever played, the Gipper speech, 100 World Series games (161 postseason games in all)...
Seriously, I hate to say it, but Yankee Stadium blows all other stadiums/venues out of the water.
