Like both of them, but I really think Almora is the CF of the future. Kid has a heck of a glove. His bat will come around too.

Almora in CF, Heyward in RF. Problem is that relegates either Zobrist or Baez to the bench.

Yes. I think right now Zobrist is swinging it a little better than Javy, but man losing Javy's glove and swag tags at second I don't like

Exactly. Baez and Heyward are so important defensively that you have to leave them in regardless of how they're swinging the bats. Almora's time will come though.

Baez should stay at 2B, Zobrist to RF, Heyward CF, Schwarber LF

It's nice because we have so many guys that can play different positions, and the guys on the bench have talent too, so the drop off isn't that great.

The lineup should stay the way it is right now. Almora is still just getting started, even though I think he's going to be a stud. Baez, Heyward, and Zobrist give the cubs the best chance to win now. Good problem to have I figure.

ETA: like others have said, the versatility is incredible. This versatility will probably fix any PT problems and not allow anyone to tire out too much. Also probably keeps injuries down.

You can always switch Almora and Heyward if Heyward goes into last year hitting mode

Pay attention to what Ian Happ is doing in the minors.

He's knocking for a gig.

Javy is the future, Z definitely was worth the 4 year contract simply because he helped us win a World Series, but I think we needed to win the WS to make it worthwhile because I think he will begin to decline on the back end of it pretty badly.

With this team being so good, I'd like to see them go with the younger player to develop him. His bat won't hurt you if he struggles. But, if he turns into a stud, how great will team be for years

Good problem to have. Too many good players with not enough spots

I just see it as a good way to rotate players to get them rest. Almora could start at least a game a week that way.

We were saying the same thing with soler and schwarber in left at the beginning of the season last year. We all know how that worked out. It's a good problem to have for when someone goes down or to give guys rest.

Almora will go in for defense late in games for Schwarber

soler

Speaking of him, that trade is looking pretty solid right about now. I hated to see him go because he has massive power but it was for the best. He started the season on the DL (always hurt), almora has that spot now, and Davis replaced an expensive Chapman for little to no drop off. Thead Hijack over

And he can continue to think that while he's waiting in the unemployment line at the end of this season.
