You see it all the time in college, has there ever been an occasion when fans of an NFL or NBA team stormed the field and torn down the goal posts or stormed the court in the nba?

One of the most iconic moments televised in baseball history was when Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's all-time HR record and everyone stormed the field.

The two white hippies ran the bases with Hank. At the time, Aaron was getting death threats for being black and breaking the Babe's record, so he was legitimately scared for his life when they came from behind

They usually just take to the streets to riot, loot, flip cars and burn shite after a world championship win, or loss.

OT from the thread, but when did that stop being a thing? I feel like I stopped seeing tobacco ads in stadiums around the mid 90s. Did sports leagues outlaw it or was it discontinued as more of a PR thing? Or was it an actual law?

nah i think it was free agency and big money... the fans that would rush a field or court can't really afford to be that close anymore

I believe it's Federal Law. They are limited to magazine ads and store fronts. I live in Winston-Salem and there's an amazing amount of old Joe Camel and Winston advertising stuff floating around in antique and thrift shops here.

Does anybody remember seeing Reggie Jackson plowing fans over like a football player as he was sprinting off the field as fans were storming the field in the '70's?

I know it's on YouTube.

Iconic moment.

But I believe it was Chris Chambliss.
