It's true. Everyone hated Kobe back then...he was looked at as a snobby kid from the burbs.
I honestly think Allen Iverson's endorsement of Kobe as a "killer" was big for him. At the time people were kind of surprised to hear that.

I dunno, Skip is a paid troll and I think the general public has accepted this. I don't think anything comes of it. Always wondered if he takes a look at his career and regret what he's become though

Thats funny.. I just had this experience yesterday in the Mall of LA... My son wanted a specific pair of Kobes for his birthday that are hard to find...so I went in all the stores.. The kid at FinishLine told me "Nike won't let us sell Kobes or Foams, because we are not Urban enough".. I replied thats strange.. he said "I know it came directly from Nike"

I don't see anything offensive about what he said, but he is wrong. It almost destroyed Bryant's image. He had to win a championship for the ignorant public to forgive and forget.
