Miles/Saban was there for a little while.

More like Meyer/Harbaugh has the potential to be what Miles/Saban used to be, or what Meyer/Saban used to be.

Except it will very likely exceed it.

Since when did Miles-Saban cease to be a rivalry?

Miles-Saban never felt like rivalry. Feels more like LSU-Saban.

1/19/12? LSU is 0-4 since then. Miles has no clue how to beat Saban. His teams play Bama close, but don't have that little extra to finish the games strong and win.

When everyone realized Miles was a hamburger, fries, shake, and toy short of a Happy Meal.

Somewhere around 21-0.

Harbaugh/Meyer will be pretty intense for a short while, and then the "chest pains" will come back forcing Urban into "retirement" again.

It's LSU-Alabama, not LSU-Saban.

You wouldn't see the hate for Saban if he came back as coach of Kentucky or Mississippi State. The hate is because he went to the enemy.

meh, it is going to be much tougher for Harbaugh to get Michigan on top. He's going to have a hard time beating up on Ohio State as long as Meyer is still there. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ohio State own Michigan the entire time that Harbaugh is there...all 2 years.

I think Saban would be insulted by folks imagining that Miles was ever in the same orbit with him.

Harbaugh-Meyer, on the other hand, does have the makings of a real rivalry. They are both heavyweights.

Miles has a more successful college football coaching career than Harbaugh at this time. That is not even debatable.

miles also inherited a team that was 1 year removed from a national championship. harbaugh inherited a 1 win stanford team.

Yeah, and you'd be incorrect. Our games are almost always close and tough.

Miles did pretty well at OSU before coming to LSU too. He's won a National Championship, lost another, won 2 conference championships, lost another.

Harbaugh finished 2nd in the Pac 10 twice, with a future NFL Hall of Fame QB.

Jim has a chance to be very successful as a college coach. But, he doesn't have the hardware that other coaches have, yet.
