Hell yeah then he can throw 9 hitless innings and get a no decision.

Nobody wants to take in consideration that he's given up 20 hits and 14 runs in his two starts before this? Definitely deflates his asking price.

5 or more earned in 4 of last 7 starts I believe. Goes deeper.

I don't think this start or his previous shitty starts are going to move the needle much either way.

Every GM negotiating with the Phillies is taking that into consideration.

But the guy is clearly healthy and a proven big game pitcher. I think he has been annoyed, bored and frustrated through all of the bullshite in Philly. Today, he showed what he can do.

6 games over .500 with 6 of your best hitters under 25 years old

If he helped this year, great, but we are looking for him to earn his money in the coming years

Cubs won't be getting Hamels, like you said they want a younger/less expensive guy that can help them in the future. Hamels would help 2 years tops.

He would only be the third best starter on several teams.

He should be at worst above replacement level through the rest of his contract as long as he's healthy.

They have had scouts at his last few starts and are one of the five teams rumored to be in on him. His contract brings him to his age 35 season. His FB velocity is the highest it's been in his career this season and his stuff translates well as he gets older.

Dont speak in such absolutes, that's why you are a joke

lol

He's 9th in WAR amongst active pitchers
6th in ERA+
4th in WHIP
8th in K/9

He's in the top 10 of active pitchers in any relevant stat... 3rd best starter on several teams

You're actually being serious? I thought LE + Gyno just had fun giving you a hard time on the fantasy board; I didn't realize you were simply that much of an imbecile.

I can name three off the top of my head, and I'm sure with some roster looking I could name a few more. He's still a good pitcher, would be an ace for some teams, third starter for others.

Trading for hamels isn't a wise move unless the demands have dropped significantly. Everyone seems to think it would take a soler + package. I'd rather just give up a draft pick and get a fa next year. We arent doing better than a wc play in game. so bolstering the team this season doesn't make a lot of sense. At least not at the expense of the future.

Whoever gets him, whether it be your Stros, the Cubs, Dodger, Yanks etc will be getting a huge addition to their staff.

Kuechel/Hamels/Kazmir

Greinke/Kershaw/Hamels

Arrieta/Lester/Hamels

Someone will have a nice three headed monster

Astros and dodgers make sense. He helps them win that division and carry on in the playoffs. Really makes sense for the dodgers

Name them

Kershaw/Greinke
deGrom/Harvey

I'd personally prefer Hamels over Harvey in 2015.

I'd take Hamels over Strasburg for the last few years & assuredly take him over gimpy 2015 Strasburg.

I'd take him over Carrasco.

I'd take him over Liriano.

I'd take him over Wacha/Lynn.

I'd take him over Samardzija.

I'd take him over Lester.
