About the draft? Not at all
My interest in the NFL is there only its commensurate with the quality of the product. I'm not dropping $2500 for a ticket to the SB that's for sure
I'm going to watch every saints game for sure. I'll be invested. I won't be as invested. I'm not now. It's not a decision, it just is what it is. I used to love the draft more than anything, now I just don't give a shite

I agree with you about the draft. I hate recruiting also.
But I think your vendetta against Goodell is misplaced. I may be wrong, you may be wrong; history will judge that.
Goodell is doing a damn great job, if he wasn't the owners would have fired him. Remember they can install and depose a commissioner at their leisure.
People that got pissed at the Saints Draft/Bounty Gate thing also misplaced their hate. They were warned multiple times. It was up to them to stop it. The audio tape that surfaced was not a big deal, every team does that. But there was some merit to the suspension when no legal action or injunction was even sought. Was the penalty too severe probably, but that generally what happens when you're the first and not come clean. SMU got punished way too hard for their deeds, but nobody else will ever get a ban on football, even if their "crimes" are worse.

I don't have a vendetta. I was super excited because that was the only shot of him getting ousted.

he made the brand image that of the 2004 NBA. I get super annoyed though when someone is obviously lying, and everyone is giving them the benefit of the doubt. The whole thing was like an 8 year old making up lies to cover lies. It's insulting to my intelligence as a consumer...and my position all along was "I don't give a shite what they do on their free time, we have a justice system"
every year my interest is lower, but now I'm at peace with it.

The outrage I had then was really because I always knew that the media outlets didn't bite the hand that fed them, but I didn't know they were the fingers on the hand. There was just no integrity in it all, and again as a consumer I do not like being treated like a fool.
peter king, mort and schefter, etc...it all feels like an oversaturated brand, just kind of soulless. Call me naïve, but bountygate is when I found out. I always bought that united way and brotherhood and the shield bullshite. either it was always a joke, or roger goodell made it one. does it really matter which?
