Greenbrier-owner of the resort gives one hundred dollars to each person in the gallery on the 18th for a hole in one then increases it for each successive ace. He has already given the members of the gallery one hundred each..and another 500 each when another golfer made a hole in one. Kitty is up to 1000 to each member of the gallery for another hole in one. The owner has already handed out close to 200k..lots of folks camping out on the 18th..wow

appx 192k on the 500 dollar ball..announcers said it could be 7 figures for the 1000 dollar ball

That would suggest there were 384 people in the stands. Looked like more on TV.

yeah, doesn't take many people for the numbers to add up quickly..Faldo said there could be 6000 people there on Sunday..fun watching the crowd react to the shots on 18 close to the hole

Don't care what the dude is worth..he ain't gotta do it, and it certainly lends excitement to the closing hole and no doubt increases the attendance, interesting waggle for sure

I know. But say I'm at 17 green. Hear the commotion and move over to 18 tee...I guess it's the honor system but it'll take a while to pass out $1k to a good 1500+ people.

I suspect someone who's worth over a billion dollars has thought of that and has security people at the appropriate places.
