With the exception of Wisconsin and perhaps Maryland... not much impressiveness from a conference that has been good the past few seasons...

Michigan and Nebraska laid absolute eggs this year

OSU and MSU have looked great at times, but can't seem to put it all together all the time. Indiana can't play defense. Iowa- meh.

It's the nature of college basketball, which is competing hard to become the worst sport on American television.

There has to be something done about fouling at the end of games.

I glanced at the Red Cedar Message Board to check the meltdown and they were killing Izzo for not fouling up three. They ended up hacking a guy on a made three and almost lost it on that play.

Appreciate the post, as a Spartan fan I had this game saved on my DVR and was about to waste two hours on something that would've just sent me to bed angry

Fouling
shot clock
And personally I hate 2 20minute halves
the game needs to be faster

What I was mostly referring to I suppose is the fact that talent comes and goes so quickly, which can lead to a conference being great one year and very bad the next. It's frustrating to watch

The under 16 12 8 4 timeouts suck when a team has just called a timeout. The NBA has the sense to make it one stoppage instead of two. It should be 15 10 5 also.

Not sure how that is considered an upset. A middle of the pack team beat a middle of the pack team.

In SEC football, we call that "proof of a deep conference".

This is NOT a typical strong MSU team. However... Izzo knows how to get his teams ready for March and they will be a dangerous team.

I was at work late so didn't get to see the game, but damn. Some serious scoring.

I'm taking nothing for granted this weekend. There's still a ton of talent there, and Izzo, and UW has looked sluggish the last few weeks.

No arguing against that.

Seems a lot of these teams have been pretty dominant at home, and just can never get over the hump on the road. So who knows what to expect come tourney time. Hell Vegas has the Buckeyes as a top 15 team

You have funny opinions.

Pitino is so far over his head it's hilarious. If his last name was Johnson, he wouldn't be coaching in DII.

Exactly.

Kentucky wouldn't be undefeated in the Big Ten. SEC basketball is relatively terrible.

Kentucky has had some close calls and stinkers as well (LSU, Texas A&M), but was talented enough to pull it out. They're good...very good, but I don't think they're unbeatable. I think a team like Virginia could give them a run with their lockdown defense (though Virginia has troubles scoring, and UK is very good defensively), and I also think UW could give them a game assuming they're not playing like they have been lately.

I will say though, I want no part of the regional Kentucky is in
