SIAP, just thinking about Ingram over Gerhart and Henry vs McCaffery. Also the fact that the Stanford RBs are white is pretty incredible when you think about the lack of prominent white players at that position, and the level of talent for both Stanford players. Yes I'm a homer, yes I think LF7 should be there, but not win. (I do think LF could've got Doak Walker) Gerhart should've won it '09, but suffered largely from the same lack of/late night exposure that CM is dealing with.

Henry has had a much better season than Ingram, but the same is true for CM. I really thought CM had a chance after that ridiculous game against USC. Oh well, if (when) Henry whens, the award is and has been a farce. If Mccaffery wins, it will be validated.

your op says RB but DH is the better RB by far. He has the body type and speed to play against any D. CM is fairly small and fast. He would have a hard time playing between the tackles for most of the game. Getting him in space is huge. He would fit more of a spread option offense as they would kill. I think DH has a future in the NFL as a RB and I am not sure CM has the body type to endure the NFL hits at RB.

If henry wins, then the heisman is racist and white people should riot

Not a good one though... He is tooo slow to the hole and his upright running style will be exposed very quickly at that level.. He is really only effective after he gets past the LOS not many rb's get there now adays... I think he fails badly.....

It's just a popularity contest now. Any running back can find success behind Alabama's oline

Not considerations for the Heisman

Why you mad?

Anyways...McCaffrey won't win because very few people actually saw him play this year. While he was going off against USC, everyone was watching the Clemson-NC game and the MSU-Iowa game. Those games directly effected the final two seeds of the CFB Playoff while the Stanford-USC game had little to no impact on the final playoff picture.

And when he did play at a time where people would watch, he was either shutdown completely (Northwestern) or contained (Notre Dame).

Heisman hasn't meant shite for years and Tyrann not winning it proved that. He was the best player on the best team that year.

DH will be another in a long list of overhyped Bama running backs to be brought back down to earth in the NFL.

Will DH even be a first rounder? I'd take Elliot, Fournette, and Cook over him.

RBs rarely go in the 1st anymore but if Saban keeps giving him 45 carries per game, I wouldn't be surprised to see him slide a lot in the draft. Bama RBs already have a rep amongst GMs for being beat up when they get to the NFL and not many of them got the carries DH has been getting.

Few RB's go first round in today's NFL. I have seen projections where he may go late first. But I think he will be second round.

If LF had the same stats as Henry and was in the final 3 for the Heisman, are you still white knighting for McCaffrey?

Do you really think Henry is a better football player than McCaffrey?

That's funny, this has nothing to do with the award.

You don't watch the NFL these days do you?

Theres a good chance Henry ends up like Trent Richardson.

The New England Patriots would probably disagree with your thoughts on the matter.

Not a good one though.

Welcome to the hall of fame Mr. Henry.
