Anybody have bad problems with ring finger pain? Right hand for right hand golfer. Seems like overuse or tendinitis but hurts like a mug. Can barely shake hands without severe pain.

Tried an 8 iron with ball way above my feet today and it dropped me to my knees. It's going to take weeks to get rid of this pain.ir was already hurting before that swing today

Taking a few weeks or a month is the thing to do anyway this time of year.

Time to start focusing on some fitness drills and Breed gimmicks.

Is it where the finger meets the hand or just the finger itself that hurts?

Will be taking three months off once my course closes down to install new greens first week of august. Trying to break 90 before that.

I just had radial collateral ligament surgery on my left thumb. I was unable to hit a golf ball without crying from the pain.

Now I'm rehabbing and should be good to go in about 2 months. Sucks missing golf season though.

Is there a knot? You are talking about Palm side of hand?

Could be a cyst on flexor tendon. Ganglion cyst.

Could be "golf finger". I had it and it hurt so bad I felt like throwing up lol...I thought it was broken. It was in my left hand and I am right handed. At first I was too hard headed to take time off but the pain forced me to. After a week or so of not playing it went away. This all happened when I changed my clubs. I had AP2's with Project X shafts and moved to MB's with Dynamic Gold. They are a little heavier and I compress the ball pretty well so I probably created a bit more strain than normal due to the change. Hope all this info helps and I hope you feel better.

I was with that article until he suggested a ten finger grip. Lost all credibility

That's what I attributed it to.

I started wounded doving really hard. That's all I'm trying to think about now when I'm standing over a shot.

Haven't had that pain or any other hand related pain in months.

I used to get a pain in the same spot. Switched to overlap grip and eased up grip pressure.

Hard fairways don't help either.
