With all the guru's, aficionado's, club pros and general bullshite artists here I figured I could get some good advice on my next wedge. I want a 56 deg btw. In your opinion, what are the top two or three wedges out there right now?
I've looked at the Taylormades, Clevelands, Callaways and Titleist. Going on sheer look alone, I like the Callaway Mack Daddy 2.
Thoughts?

By far the best looking wedge Callaway has put out there. You really can't go wrong between Callaway, Cleveland, or Titleist wedges. It's just a matter of personal preference

I played Cleveland wedges for years, but switched to Scratch Golf wedges about two years ago and have not regretted it.

Hard to go wrong with a Vokey.
I have three Mizunos in my bag (52, 56, 58) that I really like. I have a buddies 56* Vokey that I might put back in my bag, but I like having the matching set of 'Zunos (plus my irons are Mizuno).
I'd look around on GolfWRX classifieds and see if you can't find a cheap, gently used wedge. Can save a ton of money.

Good a thread I can use.
Anyone have good input on these? I was at PGA Superstore last night looking for a 50*, but ended up trying out the ole Cobra Trusty Rusty 51 because it was cheap. I've always wanted one, but I'll probably go in another direction unless I just love it for some reason.
I went looking at the 588s, Vokeys and hoping to find the discontinued Ping S Tours, but no dice. Also wanted to try out the Callaway forged, but they just have the Mack Daddys.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Really liked the Vokeys, but I figure I might as well just wait a month and try the SM5s.

For me I like the Cleveland Black Pearl wedge. I find it easier to see the ball when Im hitting out of the beach. Which here lately seems to be far to often
But really I'm sure its a personal preference thing.

Gotcha.
FYI, I'm a 10 handi. What bounce would best suite me?

Where do you play? What is the ground like?

Vokey SM5 Tour Chrome 56.10 Mid bounce

The turf you usually play and your angle of attack make the biggest difference. If you naturally take big divots and you hit the ball high on the face go with more bounce.

I play on the PGA Golf Pass so all over really. Atchafalaya, TPC La, Ellendale, La Tour, etc. Nice courses. Two of those are on the Audubon Golf Trail.
