Chuck went to see Sager even though it was against doctors orders to cheer him up.

Barkley had hip replacement surgery.
Sager was in H-town for a bone marrow transplant in his fight.
Sager's wife could not be with him.
Barkley ignored Doc's orders to go see and support Sager.
It was on SVP SC.

Hate to be that guy, but how bad could he really frick up the hip repair if somebody wheeled his arse around and they did it very carefully.
Wonderful he visited him, but doctors orders here... Really that strong?

Inflammation in the hip, swelling, increasing risk for blood clots, infection risk.

I love Charles. One of my favorite lines of his was when he was asked by a reporter "now that your daughter is of dating age, how will you as a dad handle it?" "I'll kill the first one & word will get around". And then there was the time when he got suckered punched in a bar & threw the clown out the plate glass window on the street ...2 floors down.

My sister is in the same situation as Craig Sager. Having the support of family and friends distracts her from thinking about her condition if nothing else. Charles Barkley went out of his way to provide support to Craig Sager when Sager's family was unable to do so for medical reasons. How could you ask for a better friend than that?
