Turner Field would likely become more than a football stadium after Georgia State University takes it over. There are plans in the works to use it for possible classroom space, administrative offices, maybe even housing once the Braves move

I guess it would be better than the Georgia Dome, but football in a baseball stadium still sucks.

Better than putting taxpayers on the hook for yet another stadium to be built.

Sounds like they are getting more for their money, rather than just building a small football only stadium

it may have been proposed a while back, but a vote was just held to approve the sale.

I think it's great, nothing wrong with re-purposing these money pits for other use.

Hell I'd think about a condo or something within that setup

I'm a little irked about the third base line setup, but it still beats demolishing the stadium.

I'd hope that they would redesign the seating in the endzones to accommodate the field

Can't they remove some of the seating to accommodate the end zone? It's not like they're going to need all of those seats.

I wouldn't take the rendering too literally.

The area where the gsu logos are isn't the end zone. It's behind it

Watching football in a baseball stadium, with its low-pitch lower bowl, always puts the fans far away.

The lower bowl is probably going to be demolished and rebuilt to accommodate football sight lines.

Then why even buy this? Seems like a rebuild will cost as much as new construction.
