what's crazy to me

Is that Division 5 has 7 playoff teams and the #1 seed gets a bye to the semifinals. FFS, why even have a division with 7 friggin teams?

The whole LHSAA has become a joke. How actual adults who are supposed to be looking out for the best interests of kids allowed this to happen is beyond me.

They should all be ashamed of themselves, letting their petty jealousies get in the way of high school sports.

Ask Norman Booker. He's the one that's been fighting the hardest for this to happen.

Norman Booker, principal of Many, has been rallying the public school principals to split the playoffs between public and private schools. Not enough teams to split without a massive overhaul of the way the LHSAA is divided.

Idiot principals decided to vote through half assed plans in football, basketball, baseball and softball and as such pretty much everyone makes the playoffs now and their are a bunch of 0 win teams in the post-season.

Several new Constitutional proposals were passed this year that basically ensures that no further sports will be split and gives the Select schools the independent authority to determine how to divide their divisions and how to format their playoffs. Hopefully, there won't be five select divisions anymore beginning in 2018.

The bad news is that these new rules also basically guarantee that Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Softball will remain split for the long haul.

If there is one positive is that it prevents further split. On the negative their is a lot the needs fixing on both sides (select and non-select) that I don't see changing anytime soon.

Superdome Classic has taken a hit since the split and it won't get better until both sides address multiple issues. Those problems have been extended which will now add onto the problems the football split has already caused.

Sucks if you had General Trass +94.5

Damn that's funny.

Trass sucks in all sports if my memory serves me right.

It's not the Lhsaa's fault. They just do what they're told to by the principals. If you want to blame someone, blame the public school principals.
