lost 100-5 to Red River

In the Division V bracket Monroe-based Vision Academy is a No. 3 seed despite a 0-17 record.

I just looked at the bracket and what's crazy to me is that General Trass was 0 for the season and there were still 4 teams seeded below them.

ETA: no message. misread OP.

Vision Academy is the new up and coming boys basketball powerhouse. And one of the examples why Class B and C schools mostly voted for the split

I've never heard of any of the schools mentioned in this thread except for the one Bennie Logan went to.

Norman Booker, principal of Many, has been rallying the public school principals to split the playoffs between public and private schools. Not enough teams to split without a massive overhaul of the way the LHSAA is divided.

Idiot principals decided to vote through half assed plans in football, basketball, baseball and softball and as such pretty much everyone makes the playoffs now and their are a bunch of 0 win teams in the post-season.

Playoffs have been pretty much a joke ever since the split started in football. Now its seeping to other sports.

Attendance (per game) has dropped in the football championships, which was and is the centerpiece of LHSAA athletics. Destruction of the association from within.

Vision Academy is not a powerhouse, they're 0-17. Wtf?? And the Advocate needs to do better research, Vision bowed out and is not playing in the playoffs. I think the split is garbage, but some folks blow me away with the misinformation they spread.
For those wondering, Vision Academy is a small "charter" school for minorities that will probably close in a few years. They're not financially viable. They play their games in the old Wossman gym.

Fwiw, their power rating is so high because they have to play big schools locally like Wossman, Ouachita, Carroll and Richwood. They don't have the money to travel anywhere. Their boys were actually pretty decent last year.

I thought he was being sarcastic and mocking those who voted for the split, could be wrong though.....

The misinformation by the Advocate is what's concerning. They're not participating in the playoffs

Are they a school for the blind? Is that how they lost 100-5?

Vision Academy opted out of the playoffs, had they decided to play they would have been the #3 seed with an 0-17 record. It does highlight the absurdity of the split playoffs.
