I think the Spurs take this one. I'll be cheering for the Rockets all night, and I believe they will win the series, but I wouldn't put money on them tonight. Pop is gonna fire the Spurs up and and I think they will be a lot better offensively. I predict Spurs win a close one somewhere around 115-109.

CC.

As an aside At what point do people stop thinking Pop is always gonna have the answer they were down double digits in the second half v OKC in the closeout game last year and multiple posters were still posting that Pop was gonna get it figured out. Without the players there ain't a whole lot that Pop can do to James and CC that they haven't seen before js.

If the score is that high, I like Houston. I think the Spurs will try to muck it up. Really slow the game down.

I can't imagine the reaction from the media if the Rockets pull it off tonight. But I've seen the Rockets win two road games, only to come back home and lose twice (against the Mavs), so I still won't be relieved.

Rockets in a close one, then we probably drop the first one in Houston

-pop will not be impressed either way:

-lamarcus/pau/dedmon combine for 30 points
-danny green/patty mills hit 9 three pointers
-manu >5 assists
-harden >30 points
-nene gets his knuckles checked
-p bev gets a beer poured on him
-there will be some decent looking women in the crowd, none of them spur fans
-some idiot will finally win whataburger for the year in the stupid fry throwing game
-spurs win 98-96

I think the Rockets will be up 3-1 after 4 no matter what happens tonight.

aldridge has to be effective for them to have any chance - dude was completely worn down in the first half chasing pick n rolls

That's the thing tho. They have a bevy of great players. Parker, Ginobli, Gasol, Aldridge, Simmons, Green, and Kawhi. Patty Mills and David Lee are solid. While they don't put up as many threes as us. I expect that to change tonight. They had the highest 3 point percentage in the NBA this season. They can easily do to us what we did to them last night if we miss as many shots as they did and they hit their season average %. Also, Pop = Belichick. You can't doubt the best coach in the game, it's naive and arrogant.

Spurs tonight. No way Rockets can keep up that shooting for the series and you have to think Aldridge will figure out how to defense at some point. Rockets still take the series in 6 though.

They have one top 5 player in Leonard, then however you rate Aldridge, And the rest are average role players TBH. Their role players are nowhere near good enough to seriously contend. This has been apparent for a couple years now.

Re pop: i have tons of respect for him. But coaches coach and players play. He ain't a miracle worker. He has less talent to work with now than ever.

They are also 25th atttempts per game so it isn't their style to just start firing.

IMO we are the better team but lets not pretend that the Spurs didn't have the 2nd best record in the NBA.

I think we take this one and are at least 3-1 heading into game 5.

I'm rooting for Houston. It's time to see some new blood at the top of the Western Conference.

Rockets: 110
Spurs: 103

Will probably come back to bite me, but frick it.

Hard to expect Houston to be that hot from three two games in a row. Gut-feeling is that it will be an ugly type of game. Spurs win it 102-99

Rockets win game 3

I hope i am wrong and all but the Spurs have to come out swinging.

Russillo always says you cannot match the desperation of team down 0-2 after dropping those two on the road.

I think this applies here. You have to think the spurs are going to come out swinging

Spurs haven't been to the WCF since 2014. Looks like that streak could get extended if they can't outscore this team.
