They will be fun to watch develop, but predicting them to be a powerhouse team is ridiculous
its ridiculous of you to say its ridiculous.

Simmons: NO sample size, though he will likely be good
Futz: Who knows what he is yet

These guys arent going to be bench players man (sarcasm). They are both predicted by most scouts to be future all stars if healthy. In 3-4 years when they mature and Lebron and company has faded away, they are favorites as of right now (next to Boston) to be at the top in the East. Of course there arent sample sizes for two #1 overall picks who havent played, but they were #1 picks for a reason.

Pelicans. They've got 2 bigs. If they can keep a healthy lineup and maybe get one more perimeter threat in free agency, you're looking at a team that is built to beat the Warriors.

Omer Asik, Solomon Hill, E'Twaun Moore. Signed for the next three years. Taking up 30% of the cap.

Cousins will command 30% on his next FA deal. Davis already accounting for 25%.

The Pelicans are in cap hell and look to be fricked.

Good luck to any lineup in the NBA against the Warriors.

I'll take players who actually play NBA games, over the masturbatory exercise that is projecting the Sixers.

Play the games. Perform. Then make the argument they're next.

I'll see all of your teams and raise you with this future powerhouse:

Laker fans are delusional if they think they can land Lebron. He's already left his home team once to chase rings and then came back...got his rings, MVP's, most famous active athlete in the world (except maybe Ronaldo or Messi), and is in a position where only Boston realistically stands in his way from making it to 8 straight Finals.

Philly
Celtics
Milwaukee

Next tier possibilities:
The Nuggets have accumulated some interesting pieces and cap flexibility to do something nice, but we will see.

Toronto, but not with their current roster. I'm a big fan of Masai Ujiri so I'm intrigued with what he does with the roster if the Lowry era is over.

Utah if Hayward comes back. Great coach. Great wing, great young center. I like Donovan Mitchell as their draft pick. Exum is still very young.

Orlando because I like John Hammond and think he'll do some good transforming of that roster.

But all of those next tier teams are multiple moves away obviously and really have to hit on things perfectly and have a lucky draw as well like the Warriors.

I'm not really big on Minnesota's ceiling. Playoff team? Sure. Reaching elite level? No indeed.

ETA: Phoenix possibly? Hinges on Bender's development though.

The sixers circle jerk is nauseating.

Embiid and Simmons have played a total of 30 games in 4 combined seasons.

MCW is gone. Noel is gone. Okafor major regression.

The ink is still drying on fultz's contract.

Let's talk about guys that have actually played.

I'm puzzled by the wolves and i don't think thibs knows what he's doing

Lauri was perfect for them. Literally perfect, they don't even need him to be star

So they trade him. Ok at least get a fricking power forward from the bulls bobby portis would fit like a glove player nope

They still got a glaring hole at power forward

Well they cut their losses and turned him into a first round pick which they used to trade up for Markelle. Obviously it'll depend on how Fultz turns out, but on the surface that is looking like a very solid sequence of events for them.

I think I've read where Thibs wants to play Towns at the 4 and stay big inside with a defensive center. I don't agree with that plan, but I think that's partly why they didn't value Portis.

I'm probably a little biased, but the Bucks do have a great young core. And they made some noise this season without having Jabari Parker. Though they need some help at the guard spot. I don't see them heading to the promised land with tMouthguard running the show.

Its a shitload easier to find a reasonable PF on the market than it is a top tier SG.
