Welp, we all knew this would happen eventually. FS1 developing a PTI-like afternoon debate show involving our boys Jason Whitlock and Colin Cowherd. May the Good Lord bless us all.

Trying to out-ESPN ESPN. What a shame.

Glad I cut the cord. I don't even have to be tempted to tune in.

I like watching the first 30 minutes or so of cowherds show. But I'm not a huge Whitlock fan and he fills in as host and is a featured guest. His schtick is a little tired for me personally.

Serious question...are there any studio shows (non-live sports) worth a shite on FS1 besides "Garbage Time" with Katie Nolan? That is the only thing I even remotely watch on FS1

Why not just add the $25 million man Skip Bayless to that show as well and make every sports fan want to end themself if they have to watch that for 5 minutes

I enjoy Clay and Colin, but Jason and Skip don't do it for me.

The new version of Fox Sports Live with Jay and Dan is pretty entertaining. Reformatted as a 30 minute show, with a more late night show feel, less highlight show feel. Usually on at 10pm every night, repeats at 10:30. If you've heard Jay and Dan's podcast, the show is similar to that.

I'll tune in to the new show, just because I do like Colin.

You enjoy two trolls who think their "hot takes" actually mean something?

No doubt Clay is often an arrogant d-bag, but his columns and broadcasts on facebook/periscope are usually pretty funny and interesting.

I hate how networks try and shoehorn other people into similar shows thinking that the format is what works rather than the people. The reason PTI was so entertaining wasn't because of how they structured the show or the fact that people were arguing. It was the chemistry built up between Kornheiser and Wilbon. You could tell they were old friends, that they've been doing this sort of thing for years, and now you're getting to watch.

You can't manufacture chemistry like that. The show is certainly long in the tooth now, and both Wilbon and Kornheiser are not what they used to be; but there's still a chemistry that helps that show along.

ESPN should try a throwback Sportscenter from 6AM EST - 9AM EST. 30 minutes long, repeated for 2 and a half hours, highlights and news stories. That's it.

I've said this before, but despite being an horrendously bad writer (not just content, but syntax, grammar and sentence structure), Clay Travis is actually pretty decent in the digital medium, and he's a very good podcaster and interviewer.

His interviews on his early Outkick The Podcast episodes were really good and insightful, and it was a far cry from some of the "talk about..." idiocy you see in sports media.

I find him to be a tedious, try-hard, Finebaum-turned-Cowherd wannabe in his writing, but I do enjoy his podcasts and TV spots.

It is hard to think of a less desirable pairing than that. If they made it a trio with Bayless, it could be the worst thing ever.
