JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- FormerJacksonville Jaguars running back Fred Taylor says he was never told by doctors during his 13-year career that he had suffered a fractured collarbone and injuries in each shoulder.
Taylor said on his official Twitter account Wednesday morning that he underwent a full orthopedic exam in Chicago last week, and 11 MRIs and 12 X-rays revealed that he had partially torn labrums in each shoulder and at one point suffered a fractured clavicle.
Taylor tweeted that the doctors he was referred to by the NFL never informed him of those injuries.
They also diagnosed his complete groin tear as a strain.
They also denied his line of duty benefits 3 times.

Fred Taylor must be one of those people with that super rare disease CIPA, where you can't feel pain and realize that something is wrong with your body.

Methinks Fred is fishing for a lawsuit/handout.

Given the NFLs stance on CTE and their "medical" experts I'd say it's not.

Or maybe he wants those who put him in harm's way held accountable.

NFL docs aren't going to lose their license to practice medicine.
ATC aren't either. Taylor is not being truthful, they told him, maybe in ways he didn't understand, but they told him.

Fred Taylor seems like a pretty intelligent guy. I doubt he is broke

You serious baw?
Any NFL player can walk away at any moment. Nothing is stopping them aside from their greed which they put above their future health.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Congrats

It shouldn't be to hard to prove this allegations true or false.
1) Look at Fred Taylor Medical Record as an NFL player
2) Find out what the NFL doctors diagnosed and determine why he was still fit to play?

I imagine that is only coming out under a court order, so we will have our answer if he doesn't sue.
I'm sure he could request and release his own records, so I'll be waiting for that as well.

I'm sure NFL doctors are completely cool with losing their license to practice. Literally the first time he goes to a doctor and gets something checked, they will see the broken bones.
Also, in-regards to your CTE item, blame the players union. SFP (I think, if not I apologize for putting words in his mouth) has shown multiple times that there were plenty of University peer reviewed studies on the effect of concussions. It's not the leagues fault the players association did not seek out said studies, and this is coming from a guy who usually takes the player's side in things.
