The "witnesses" that run to the media are usually not the ones you should listen to.

So now there's more information available, and while it doesn't prove the innocence of the shooter, it may be plausible that if McKnight got out of his vehicle and attempted to do the shooter physical harm then he was within his rights to protect himself.

Still a tragedy, but you can't just get out of your car in a road rage and expect anything good to come of it. I know a guy that did something similar after someone cut him off, and he got his face slashed for his trouble.

Also if that "witness" is giving false information, there ought to be some repercussions for that individual as well.

Absolutely ridiculous that just because you get out you can be murdered.

GTFO with that mindset.

One was unarmed outside his own car and another was in his car?

If he's truly worried, why not drive the away?

Can no one have any accountability these days.

If I am in a car and someone scary is approaching me all pissed off I will drive away. Goodness.. not wait around to defend myself because I am too upset.

This guy has a history of road rage himself and I don't care if it proves anything or not.. he looks absolutely nuts.

There is no reason to fire three shots. None. That is INTENT to murder, not defend yourself. Not under these circumstances.

I am all for true self defense, but this is so avoidable by BOTH parties. He should be responsible for his overreaction out of road rage.

I think the driver was stuck at a redlight of a major intersection.

We will have to wait on the investigation but from what I read the shooter did try to drive away. The shooting occurred a couple of miles from the original road rage incident. The shooting happened when the shooter's car was stopped in traffic.

Other than that I think you make some very god points.

How about some accountability for McKnight? Don't get out your car and you don't die. I don't know the details and I'm not for either side but if he doesn't put himself in that situation he is alive today.

based on where the shooter lives, he was obviously taking a pretty direct route home to end up at that location.

so did JM randomly end up next to him or did he follow him there?

The poster you replied to did not say or insinuate that at all.

Maybe he couldn't due to traffic at a red light?

Well then, you sound totally unbiased.

You don't know that.

Why would I only shoot someone once? So they can pull out their fire arm and shoot back at me?

Again, it's tragic. I'm in no way saying the shooter is innocent, but from the most recent information I've seen, I don't think it's murder if someone attacks you and you shoot them. I don't know the letter of the law so please excuse my speculation, but if it's deemed that he used excessive force defending himself, that sounds like manslaughter to me.

Most places that teach people how to shoot, teach you to fire in three round bursts. So that is exactly how many you should fire.

By the way, I am not defending the shooter.
