he stayed on the scene until the cops came. May be former Jefferson Parish sheriffs office

These 3 things don't seem to add up. If 1 and 2 happened, the shooter is obviously a POS who has no regard for life...so why would he hang around.

Whoa. Before seeing this I got a call from my mechanic, who is about 50 yards from that intersection, saying that my car ready to be picked up. I checked with the wife about bringing me to pick it up. She said she had passed the roped-off intersection about 45 minutes ago and said no way Jose', and had heard from others in traffic that there was a homicide (she thought it was a hit and run).

There's a podcast called sword and scale that covers really horrific shite. One episode was about road rage taken too far.
Something about driving brings the worst out in the worst people. Never can be too careful with who you flip the bird or try to tailgate. Some crazy frick with a gun could already be having a bad day.
