Mayweather would win in a boxing match. Rousey would win in an mma match.

Usain Bolt would win in a 100m. But Sanya Richards-Ross would win in a 400m. She trains for it.

Michael Phelps would win in a 100m butterfly. But Jessica Hardy would win in a 100m breaststroke. Its her specialty.

Specializing in a niche thing and streamlining training into developing the requisite technique is awesome. It helps women to beat other women. Maybe even defeat some Joe Blow man who is relatively unfamiliar with the sport. It doesn't do shite against other men in a similar sport.

Fighting isn't magic just because you saw some fatass or even well built guy get his arse kicked by somebody less intimidating looking. I think thats what confuses people since its so unexpected, but its really illogical. We've all seen a 6'3+ athletic guy walk into a rec center and be terrible at basketball. Or a 5'7" unathletic dude actually being relatively good compared to rec players. Obviously, technique can bridge gaps but nobody says stupid shite like "size/athleticism doesn't mean shite in basketball. Its all about technique."

Or, you know, have infinitely more Y chromosomes than her..... That helps.

I get your point but these are two bad examples. Anyone that can run sub 20 sec in the 400 meters can easily run a 48 second flat 400m which would beat any current female 400m runner.

I do agree somewhat with your technique arguments, but massive advantages in size, strength and general athleticism can often offset better technique.

That said, Money beats Rousey boxing or MMA, and it would be quick.

Slightly misread your post, I agree with everything except the Bolt and Phelps examples. I don't think any women alive beats Phelps in any non distance swimming event and no women alive beats Bolt in any race 800 meters or less.

You did misread it, but it definitely wasn't slight. And you still don't understand. I was obviously being sarcastic. Of course Bolt and Phelps would beat any women. That was my point.

Who said RR could beat Money?

More than a few:

re: Giving Ronda Rousey the ESPY award for fighter of the year = ridiculous pc - Tiger n Miami AU83 on 7/17/15 at 6:00 pm You put Rousey and Mayweather in a room together, tell them to fight, walk out and lock the door... You can unlock it, go back in in about 1 minute and Mayweather will have a broken arm and be crying....

Ronda Rousey would kick FM arse(Posted on 5/3/15 at 12:07 am) 621 Please let it happen in September... Not gonna happen but would be great.

re: Could you beat Ronda Rousey in a fight (ufc rules)?(Posted on 2/24/15 at 7:34 pm to TheSexecutioner) quote: Come on man..... think about what you are saying. That a girl could beat up Floyd Mayweather. A girl he outweighs by 10 pounds (Floyd has the option of cutting if he wanted to).... This isn't magic. He only outweighs her for about 3 days of the year, she is over 150lb every day except for the day before her fights. Floyd doesn't cut weight.

8/10, I see Floyd winning, her only chance of winning would be if Floyd slipped up and she got him on the ground in a hold.. But Floyd is so freaking fast, that he will not let that happen. Yall know Floyds game, he keeps his distance, ducks..weave..dodge..jab..repeat... Now men can take those jabs and stay standing, a woman? I am not so sure.

That said, I would last 34 seconds with Rousey anyday

I can't believe some of these people think RR would give him a run, even in MMA, much less than last a round.
Do some of you even realize how quick Mayweather is, especially without gloves. Not to mention how quick he is at evading any kind of punch. She'd be out in 30 seconds. Her ONLY chance to extend the loss would be to lay on the ground and HOPE FM would come down to her. He would not.

If RR was fighting any men in MMA, she would be 0 for however many men she faced.

SOme of you guys are just idiotic.

Do you really think he would use the same style as he did with Manny? He's a professional fighter.

Not to mention Mayweather is arguably the smartest fighter in the history of combat sports. His brain is like a computer inside the ring. No matter what a fighter throws at him, Mayweather will eventually figure it out.

Ronda is a World class Olympic Judo champion and you just don't learn that shite in no 6-12 months and think you can hop in the octagon and defend against it.

Just imagine how bad the chicks who won the gold and silver in judo at the Olympics would beat Floyd. They'd probably beat the shite out of Klitschko too because judo.
