For The First Time Since 1979, Dick Vitale Will NOT Commentate UNC-Duke

No Vitale For UNC-Duke
Instead we get "Grumpy Gus" Jay Bilas in place of Vitale alongside Dan Shulman.
I would much rather Vitale than the persistent whining of Jay Bilas, who I think hasn't changed his tampon in the last two years.
Whether you like Vitale or not, that's just shitty of ESPN to take him off this game

That's not correct as I know CBS carried the Carolina Duke game and he did not do the Color.

People often forget that Dicky V actually used to be a much bigger homer for UNC than he was for Duke. Apparently, word got around to Coach K and he dressed down Dicky V after one of their games. Dicky V's been a big time homer for Duke ever since.

ESPN always has the weeknight game
It is odd that they took him off when they've been using bilas, schulman, and Dickie v together the last few years. I understand the hate for him but his voice is synonymous with college basketball for me, heard him talk at nc state when I was a kid and his passion for life and basketball is unmatched.

Vitale has been paired with Dave O'Brien as the ESPN #2 Saturday announcing team all season. I think he's the color guy for the Louisville/Syracuse game tomorrow night. Either way, Bilas is the best basketball analyst in the business right now and is rightfully being given the top assignments.
