People are always looking for the next big thing. That's why every young guy who wins a tourney or a major is instantly getting segments on golf channel about being the next tiger. It's stupid and unfair, there won't be another tiger. It's like people can't realize how truly dominant he was.

I'm biased because I'm a Tiger guy and 34, the younger guys today who didn't watch tiger from 99-2007 just really have zero clue how good he was.

Tiger's consistently good play will probably never be matched. Even when he had his B and C game he could scramble and get top 20's

I never really thought Speith had a chance to be as dominant as Tiger.
He takes a totally different approach to golf than Tiger and it's going to lead to some lulls. Tiger wouldn't have taken 3-4 weeks off and go get hammered with buddies after that shite show at the Masters. He would have been grinding the whole time. That's just how Tiger was. Jordan definitely has a light that turns on in Majors though and I think he'll still win 6-10 majors over his career.

Spieth obviously isn't Tiger. But it isn't because of this silly cut stat. He could miss the cut for a year straight, but if he gets the wins in his career, he gets em.
And Tiger wasn't facing completion like this.

At least I'm being honest and not acting like I'm a historical golf expert. I watch a frick ton of golf, though. And it's my opinion that these guys are much better and the field is much deeper now.
