Five North DeSoto High School athletes, along with one middle school athlete, have left the DeSoto Parish School District and enrolled at Evangel Christian Academy, according to NDHS athletic director/football coach Scott Abernathy and ECA principal Bud Dean.

The high school players include three sophomores and two freshmen with all five playing in a junior varsity game last Monday before withdrawing from the school the following day.

So many athletes "find God" between their 8th grade year and graduating high school.

Isn't North DeSoto the best school in the area though? Instead they will be just focused on football?

This is not a first for Evangel. Robert Davis and Cisco Perkins from Logansport transferred back when. Davis played for Evangel, Perkins ruled ineligible and after signing with lsu knocked over a store and did time.
