Assuming the front office continues to make the right moves, this team will contend for World Series championships for the next decade. They are about to take hold of the division and hang on for many years. We just ran into a buzzsaw in all aspects of the game in this NLCS. Plenty of reasons to have a positive outlook on the season and the franchise.

This core unit will break the championship drought!! Ya gotta believe!

Just saying there's no reason not to be optimistic for the future. This isn't like the Pinella teams that had a lot of older players making a last run. This is a lot of really good young players who should be together for a long time to come.

Mate, your team spent $60m more than the 2nd highest payroll and you're sitting at home watching the NLCS

I know melt stage has worn off after a week, but just had to remind you

The Dodgers play with Monopoly money, play in a weaker division, and still could not win a playoff series.

I would rather be in the Cubs shoes.

I seriously believe he's right. The Cubs will 100 percent contend for a playoff berth whenever the Cardinals experience a down year...which happens a few times per decade.

Well that's not true. I'm a Mariners fan and I would much rather be in the Cubs shoes. And just about every other team for that matter

Meh. They've had great talent in the past. They just can't get past the fact that no matter what, they are the Cubs.
