RISE and shine fellow Falcons fans!
First some scary as hell injury updates:
Alex Mack
quote:
One source said that if this were the regular season, Mack could miss six to eight weeks, but he will be out there Sunday, with concern running high among Atlanta officials. The Falcons are confident Mack will hold up in pass-blocking, but they are uncertain if he will be effective on downfield blocks, or if his leg will hold up. Mack will receive a pain-killing injection to help him get through the game, per sources. The fracture occurred above the plate that Mack had inserted in his left leg after he broke his fibula in 2014. The plate might have been a blessing, helping to support a leg that suffered what one source describe as a "chip fracture."
Julio
quote:
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has had a toe injury for more than a month that could require surgery after the team's appearance in Super Bowl 51 against the New England Patriots. Per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Jones will undergo an evaluation during the offseason to determine the extent of his foot injury and if surgery is required to repair the damage. "If Jones needs surgery, the procedure to fix torn ligaments associated with turf toe will be measured in months but not expected to delay his 2017 season," Rapoport wrote. Jones has been a limited participant in Falcons' practice this week leading up to the Super Bowl, but he will be playing in the game. The All-Pro receiver missed two games in December against the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams.
Macks injury worries the most since he is the anchor to this O line.
As long as Julio is out there they have to respect him which opens up other options.
How's everyone feeling this morning? My pucker factor is at a 6.
It's gameday!!!

Rooting for the Falcons because of Julio. Damn I hope he goes off today.

Was worried about his toe against the packers but it looked like he was 100%. Hoping for the same today.

Even your cheer leaders look like back woods Georgia trash. What a terrible franchise.

This should be the worry of every Falcons fan today; not Julio Jones, who plays through injury every year.
Final Pro Football Focus ratings and grades for Falcons
Alex Mack – 90.3 overall (No. 2 at C)
Pass block: 81.0, Run block: 91.1
Ben Garland – 71.5 overall
Pass block: 71.9, Run block: 74.0
If Mack goes out, it looks like it would be a striking blow to the Falcons offensive line.

Mack has been crucial for our line. Garland has had 2 weeks of reps to prepare if he is needed so that is good. We need him to play his best ever if he is needed.
