“Long story short, I was walking in the hallway about to go to the indoor field and work out. He was like, ‘Hey.’ I looked around. ‘Come here.’ He was like, ‘How you doing, you like your visit?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ Then he’s like, ‘What up Richard LeCounte? Are you showing this guy (Judson) around?’ I was like, ‘Coach, I’m showing him around.’ He asked me, ‘Who are you?’ I told him Bruce. He said, ‘Oh, Bruce Judson from Florida. The speedy guy.’ I was like, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘I’m glad that you’re on board and glad you got up here.’ After that, I knew I was de-committing.”

But Judson claims this was no laughing matter, and it’s hard for anyone to miss his trademark mustache.

From the same article

quote:

“The rest of the staff stayed in touch, but I didn’t get any love from coach Meyer. If I’m committed there, you should treat me how you treat the recruits that you still want.”

Gotta disagree here.

LeCounte corroborated Judson’s story to SEC Country, though he thought it might have been a joke and Meyer purposefully didn’t recognize Judson because he had on a dark blue shirt (Michigan colors)

I'm no fan of Meyer, but that sounds like a reasonable explanation.

I mean it is a recruiting visit. That's exactly what the university is supposed to do.

I don't know who's right or wrong, but if I was committed to a school and I was on campus and the head coach said
quote:

‘Oh, Bruce Judson from Florida. The speedy guy.’

I wouldn't feel great about my commitment either

If the shirt had a giant M on the front I could understand this. Otherwise it isn't a reasonable explanation.

Why is Ohio State recruiting 35 year olds?

You'd think it would be easy to keep up with their names and faces, but it really isn't. Hell no player on any team can name all the other players on team even if you should them a pic. I remember one night while at Horny's in 2011, Dre Kirk asked me what another player's name was and the guy played a lot

I'm just happy to see the B1G is actually entertaining during the off-season. You've got one coach having sleepovers at a prospects house and another getting ignored by his former player at the draft. It's refreshing. For the longest time this was the only entertainment in that conference.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that the HC of the program to which you are committed know who you are.

My goodness In his defense, he does seem half retarded.

I know, but once I was committed, I would hope the coach would at least know who I was. I mean I'm committed and I'm on a visit so as the HC you should know this.

I'm not sure I would've de-committed, but if I'm hitching the next 4 years of my life to your wagon, knowing me more than the "speedy guy from Florida" would be reassuring
