re: ESPN's SEC Agenda

There are some solid points in the article, but until other conferences start winning titles more often, it doesn't matter.
Like the part with FSU struggling with Wake when they won by 40+ is laughable, or when someone "escapes" in other conference and wins by 10 and someone "rolls" someone in the SEC and wins by 3. Things like that stick in peoples minds
Just win, and don't worry about it. If Michigan State gets into the playoff this year and wins the damn thing, next year people may say "OSU/MSU/Nebraska may be legit this year." However, one of those teams needs to be allowed in to prove that, and not "blocked" by an SECw monopoly

That article could have just as easily been penned by Danny Kannell.

I'm butthurt because I think MSU would beat Ole Miss on a neutral field, and they may not get the opportunity to do so because they lost on the road to a top 10 team? If yes, then sure I'm butthurt

Your melt is rivaling Bama after kick six

I posted this in the other thread; but will again. The SEC has beat 2 of the top teams in the Big 12, beat a preseason top 3 big 10 team, and will play the top ACC team. The SEC is not "hype." The respect was earned on the field. If MSU wanted in the playoff so bad, they shoul have beat UO. But dropping your biggest game and being left out is not a SEC west problem. We have only 1 loss outside of our division.

Just in the BCS era, the SEC had 5 different teams win NC: Alabama(3), LSU(2), Florida(2), Auburn(1) & Tennessee(1). 9 out 16 champions.
To look even further, look at the number of top 10 teams the SEC has had since 1998: Georgia, Ole Miss, Miss St, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Arkansas, and I think even Kentucky made the top 10 in 2007.
Damn strong resume.
ETA: Forgot Missouri. They finished #5 last year. So, that makes Vanderbilt the only team not ranked in the top 10 since 1998. 13 out of 14 teams.

furthermore, an all SEC championship only happened once. so in the 9 other times an SEC team has played for the championship, it played against a team from another conference and only once did it lose.
if other conferences would like more respect - win the game when it counts.

Blog posts are equivalent to Bleacher Report, as far as I'm concerned.

I just find this "SEC bias" so funny. The SEC, up to 2007, never gained any national respect. Hell, Bama only received 1 first place vote in '92 the entire year, then blew UM up. AU was left out of the NC game in 04. UF had no chance against OSU. Now, everyone see's we have the best althletes, and they can't compete.

Did ESPN have a USC agenda up until Pete Carroll left?
Seems like they'd feature a segment on the Trojans daily.

I think its pointless to get pissy and claim bias over this first set of rankings they put out. This is how they ranked them as of now, a lot of it will work itself ou. Who does MSU currently have a better resume then that's ranked above them? Their claim to fame is having a 2nd half lead at one point against Oregon, other than that they don't have one quality win on their resume. Sorry the committee didn't take random a-hole's opinion on who would win on a neutral field into account.

They should have beat Oregon, whisky should have beat LSU, and OSU should have beat Vtech. Until that happens your conference is perceived as weak and rightfully so. As of now no Big team deserves to be top 8.

Whether or not the author went to FSU, he speaks the truth. I am an LSU and FSU fan; the SEC sunshine pumping is unreal.

what exactly are they doing to "sunshine pump" the SEC?

Allowed? Just be a good team. Play a challenging schedule.

I can't believe ESPN has the audacity to recognize that the SEC has overwhelmingly dominated CFB for 10 years. Such an agenda.

but they should be allowed in over more deserving teams with better resumes because like monopoly and stuff
