Smart move on their part. I'm far more interested in SummerSlam than baseball or any of that other shite they talk about this time of year.

Now if we could only get some Rugby coverage!

ESPN = Entertainment and Sports Programming Network

Plus, they cover tons of stuff that's not a "real" sport. But at least they aren't scripted and staged.

Makes you wonder how bad of shape espn is in currently.

If the programming is any indication, the worst shape ever. Sportscenter is unrecognizable right now. I don't even watch ESPN anymore.

I seem to remember that ESPN showed some regional pro wrestling back in the day. Maybe I'm just mixing it up. This would have been mid 90s.

They aired AWA back in the 80s and the UWF back in the 90s.

WrestleMania 32 will get a lot of coverage because it will be at Jerry's Palace and they'll be attempting to break the indoor attendance record.

Latest News.

quote:

Jonathan Coachman has been teasing an appearance at next Sunday's WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view on social media as of late, and we can now confirm what he will be doing there. Coachman, who currently works for ESPN, will be at the show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York to cover the event as a reporter. ESPN's P.R. team has confirmed that Coachman will be in Brooklyn covering the event for SportsCenter. While ESPN won't be covering SummerSlam like a major "SportsCenter on the Road" type of coverage that they give other major sporting events, "The Coach" will be at the show specifically to cover it for the sports channel.

It's not a real competition, but at least there is way more athleticism and physicality shown than a fricking spelling bee.
