No, they don't make big deals out of homos, trannys, "supposed" racial and gender injustice. Whatever.

I wish I could cut the cord

It has nothing to do w/a liberal agenda.
It's not losing viewers that is the problem, it's losing cable subscribers. ESPN is on 99% of all cable packages and subscriptions to cable and dish are down across the board. People aren't canceling their cable b/c of politics, they are canceling it b/c it's gotten increasingly more expensive and there are now other options for entertainment. Y'all seem to forget that sports fans are actually the minority of overall tv viewers for the most part. While it's true that sports are the only thing keeping cable alive it's not b/c there are so many sports fans but b/c the fast majority of people who do want sports want to watch them live while all other kids of tv can be viewed on their own time.

but i thought this board said the reason was because the content was bad (lol)
younger, smarter people are cutting the cord while dumber, older people are dying
good bye cable model - welcome to the information age.
also feel free to laugh at the B1G for adding teams like Rutgers, because that "expansion money" is going to dry up real quick.

Their act is childish. Dunks, crappy music, silliness.

Content definitely plays a roll. If the content sucks, there's less of an incentive to watch ESPN. When ESPN is one of the main reasons why you pay for cable, then it makes sense to just cut the chord.

Sports were my final hold out on cutting the cord, but I was just done with the dog shite programming and cancelled my cable.

It such simple logic that its rediculous people like rocket don't get it.
ESPN sucking balls is the reason I finally decided to get rid of cable. The only thing ESPN had that held me was live sports programing but even that has failed to balance out all of the preachiness I have to deal with from their other shows.
"Smart, young people"
"Dumb, old people ...dying off"
fricking idiot.

ESPN content has sucked since the early 2000s though and their subscribers peaked in 2005.
cord cutting is a fairly recent trend - hence the losses.
