This makes sense...
You want to go after the schools that directly challenge Alabama.
I swear, after the Means scandal...Bama seriously just put someone in the NCAA offices like they do in politics.
Bama can't win jack...okay, take out USC...path is cleared now for Bama titles...harass Auburn and Cam during Iron Bowl week...almost worked...now go after the only team to beat you.
Fix the schedules...SEC
Easiest road ever.
Remove all challengers.
When does LSU go on probation?

Insane Bama conspiracies aside, the chance of NCAA actually doing anything before the bowl season is laughable. However, there are junior high kids in College Station that will pay dearly for this!

It's a rule, and one of the most well-known to a student-athlete. Meaning, he (allegedly) did it knowing full well it's not allowed. You can pick out any number of laws/rules you don't agree with, does that mean none of them should be followed or enforced?
I agree, the NCAA is a monopoly that makes billions off of amateur athletes skills and likenesses. Something needs to be done. But ignoring rules just because someone disagrees has never gotten anyone in trouble. Ever. It always works out well in the end.
