I'm no legal expert. And I don't feel like reading all 60 pages here. But did Simpson never have to testify on the stand? From what I have seen, he never had to until Goldman sued him.

He got carved up in the civil trial. Said he would never wear those "ugly arse Bruno Maglis," but they trotted out pictures of him with them, and only like 300 pair were made.

I believe that's all covered in the 5th amendment. The prosecution cannot call him to the stand. The defense could have but why the hell would they have done that?

Seems like the prosection should have been able to call him to the stand somehow. I guess I don't know the law very well.

Did Goldman ever collect any of the money he was owed?

A defendant cannot be compelled to give evidence against himself. He may choose to do so, but if he does, the prosecution can cross examine him and introduce evidence to impeach his credibility that otherwise wouldn't be allowed. That's why most defendants don't testify.

Example: Man on trial for wife beating. The fact that he was convicted of beating his first wife can't be allowed as evidence. But, if he testifies on his own behalf and denies beating his wife, the prosecution can bring up his previous conviction.

I would say yes since he's the father of at least one kid.

Are any of the ESPN networks airing reruns of this series? I missed the episodes.

Re those pictures, what shows you just what a cold hearted killer OJ is was that he killed both of them by stabbing them to death, and then went back & butchered them by practically cutting their heads off. Nicole's head was severed through her vertebra.

No problem for Simpson. Cochran laid the blueprint to how to get OJ off...

I'm not disputing that this is the case but does anyone know why this is the case?
